We strive to develop long-term relationships with our partners. Typically we begin with short-term projects to establish trust and then move to longer term strategic projects that create value for all participants.
Our strategy uses a proven approach based on “fundamental research” translated to “enabling technology” and demonstrated through an ”application test-bed.“ Our goal is to develop projects around several partners/stakeholders, and for each partner project, to look at the application, define the fundamental research needed, and develop the enabling technology.
Our current and past partners have contributed to our program in a variety of ways including: sponsored research, philanthropic funding, opportunities for summer internships, and technical expertise.
Value for Participants
A forum to share and research new ideas, technologies and applications around sustainability, and learn from fellow leaders in sustainability.
An opportunity to leverage research expenditures around common topics of interests, like carbon footprints, recycling, transportation, offsets, etc.
Companies will be able to leverage and establish new business contacts that will help them become more profitable as well as sustainable.
It will fill a critical need in industry where traditional in-house research and development departments are shrinking or lack expertise on sustainability and associated issues like climate change.
The program will provide access to Georgia Tech’s top undergraduate and graduate student base. It allows companies to hire new employees from the Georgia Tech student pool educated in the field of sustainability as it relates to their discipline through internship and project work.
